This is like two delicious dessert flavors in one - creamy pumpkin pie paired with rich yellow cake. It's a delicious duo, made with shortcut ingredients, and it's very reminiscent of a rustic cobbler.

Pumpkin Cobbler Style Cake

This homestyle, cozy autumn dessert is something that should be made a least once during the holiday season each year. It comes together in minutes, doesn't require making pie crust and you get the bonus of sweet cake atop.

It's the perfect alternative treat for those who don't prefer pie and would be a welcome addition at a holiday feast.

I've made it the traditional way with box cake mix to make it speedy, though you could try whipping up your own blend if you've got a little extra time (see note below).

It's a no-fuss, minimal effort dessert that uses pantry staples and leaves you with a crowd pleasing old fashioned style, utterly delicious cake!

Chocolate Cake Mix Waffles (only 4 Ingredients) https://www.cookingclassy.com/chocolate-cake-mix-waffles/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/chocolate-cake-mix-waffles/#comments Sat, 31 Jan 2015 16:00:59 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=16890 Chocolate Cake Mix Waffles (with only 4 ingredients) are the easiest way to WOW your family and guests with a special breakfast! It's the sweet and chocolatey cake mix you love, made fluffy and crispy in your trusty waffle iron, then topped with your favorite syrups, fruits, and more. Try these for a quick and fun Valentine's breakfast!

Word is out that you can make waffles with a cake mix so I had to see for myself, and yes, it really works! But more importantly, they're completely delicious! And breakfast couldn't get any easier, or dessert for that matter. Four ingredients and just a few minutes of prep is all it takes for these decadent waffles, that taste just like cake of course!

Chocolate Cake Mix Waffles

Could there be a more perfect Valentine's Day breakfast to make for your loved one? Kids would go crazy for these too! I served them here with Nutella sauce, which is also unbelievably easy to make. All you need to do is whisk a few tbsp of milk with Nutella (you can also warm it if you'd prefer a warm sauce).

Wait... people are eating these chocolate waffles for dessert? Ok, I guess. But why wouldn't you start your day with dessert waffles if you could?

I keep wondering if their company will ever come out with a Nutella sauce (perfect for ice cream, cakes, pancakes, and waffles and just to squeeze directly in your mouth) but until then I just go this easy route. You could also use chocolate ganache if you'd like for these.

And fresh strawberries I think are a must, we all know and love the way they pair with chocolate so here it's a match that's meant to be.

You can also use other cake mix flavors. I'm excited to try out more, but chocolate always comes first, right?

Peach Cobbler Mug Cake {5 Minute Recipe} https://www.cookingclassy.com/peach-cobbler-mug-cake-5-minute-recipe/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/peach-cobbler-mug-cake-5-minute-recipe/#comments Tue, 30 Jul 2013 01:08:37 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=8085 Yesterday I made a peach cobbler, from scratch. Fresh peaches, the homemade cake and all of that. After taking pictures then trying it, I decided I didn't like it. So it's not blog approved.

The texture was just strange. Slightly gooey (which is okay) but then there were these chewy portions that were just odd. I guess I've never really been a big fan of the texture of a peach cobbler, let me rephrase that I don't like the texture of some peach cobblers

Peach Cobbler Microwave Mug Cake | Cooking Classy

My brother came up a few weeks ago and he made a dutch oven blueberry peach cobbler that was soooo good and actually had the perfect texture! He used a cake mix. Thinking of that made me realize I could do a quicker version that was similar but make it in the microwave, in a mug. I'm so glad I decided to try it. I'm in love with this mug cake. It's definitely one of my favorites!
